  • 1 Entremont Emmental Caractère cheese portion
  • 1 ground beef patty from the butcher's
  • 1 onion
  • A little balsamic vinegar
  • Arugula
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 brown bun

Peel the onions and cut them into thin strips. Heat a little olive oil in a pan and add the onions.
Brown for 10 minutes, add the sugar, and leave to cook over medium heat for another 5 minutes, stirring gently.
Pour in a little balsamic vinegar and leave to cook until evaporated.
In a frying pan, cook the ground beef patty over a high heat. Cooking time for medium-rare: 2 minutes on each side. Salt and pepper to taste.
To serve the burger piping hot: start with the bottom of the bun and put it in the still hot pan.
Add a slice of Emmental cheese and a cooked patty. Leave to warm up for one minute.
Place the top of the bun bottom side down in the same pan and leave to warm up while you arrange a layer of caramelised onions and a few leaves of arugula on the other part.
